Cooperation Project: China Aerospace Meteorological Exploration balloon Mng Equianufacturipment

Shenzhou XI manned spacecraft was launched at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center at 7:30 on October 17, 2016. The Shenzhou XI manned spacecraft return plane successfully landed in the central area of Inner Mongolia on November 18. The two astronauts returned to the "home" smoothly.

In order to ensure that the spacecraft accurately returns to the scheduled landing zone, the Shenzhou XI manned spacecraft returns to the mission meteorological support pepole, they dicharged 4 to 5 weather balloons which applied in the main landing site to detect meteorological elements such as high altitude wind direction, wind speed, temperature and humidity everyday. 

After the landing weather station has repeatedly negotiated, it is predicted whether the weather in the returning cabin meet the recovery conditions. At the same time, the air direction and wind speed indicators accurately predicted by the meteorological balloon to ensure the ground control system adjusts the spacecraft according to the wind direction and wind speed at any time.

The meteorological balloon manufacturing equipment cast by the meteorological support engineers was developed and manufactured by our factory-Zhuzhou Shuangling Technology Co., Ltd.
